Seekers Class
Members of the adult Seekers Class describe this group as one who appreciates thoughtful discussions about our understandings of the Bible, dealing with ideas that challenge our inquiring minds, and aiming to relate faith to life experience.
All views are received with non-judgmental attitudes. The group meets weekly using leadership both from within the group, as well as outside the group; methods of presentation vary from lecture to video resources to general discussion.
Recent topics have included: discussion of the Parables; a video viewing a theater presentation from a neighboring church on The Prodigal Son; our interim minister sharing his journey of ‘coming out’ as a gay person; selection of our favorite (and not-favorite) Psalms; issues related to Palestine/Israel struggles for equitable land use; a study of the Book of Revelations.
